Keeping you in the Loop

Apologies for the lack of updates in recent weeks but we have all been very busy making preparations for Santa’s Special Trains, which start on Sunday.

Volunteers have been working on locomotives and rolling stock, decorating Santa’s Grotto, as well as creating an online ticket website. Keeping the design and maintenance of the site in-house saves the Railway fees which would be charged by the 3rd party ticket sellers.

And on the subject of loops, the final piece of ‘plain line’ in the passing loop at Boughton is being laid on Saturday 26th November, so come down and have a look at our progress, or even better, wear some safety boots and warm clothes and help us lay the track!

About Ben Coulson

Ben has been a volunteer at the Railway since 1992 and has taken part in many projects over the years. He started the PITSFORD Project (including this Blog) because at the time his full-time job as a Chef made it difficult for him to get to the Railway at weekends. He is now working in the Vinyl Department at Northampton Signs, so expect to see lots of new signage appearing at the Railway. Contact: admin@pitsford.railhost.org.uk
